Interested in Attending Sierra Nevada
Job Corps?
Students of the Job Corps program are enrolled under a full scholarship
from the Department of Labor. Benefits of the scholarship include:
- Room and Board
- Three meals a day
- Access to Wellness Clinic
including dental and vision services
- All training costs are
covered
- Evening and weekend
recreation activities, both on and off campus
To Qualify for Job Corps, You Must:
- Be at least 16 and not yet
25 years of age at the time of enrollment
- Be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. national, permanent resident alien,
or other alien who is authorized to accept permanent employment in the United States
- Have limited financial
resources (For applicants who are 16 or 17, parents' or legal guardians'
income must meet the limited financial resources criteria in accordance
with the Federal Poverty Guidelines.)
- Have signed consent from
your parent or guardian if you are a minor
- Must be in need of further
vocational training, education, or support service in order to
participate successfully in the work world
- Have a childcare plan if you
have a dependent child
- Show commitment and
capability to participate successfully in Job Corps and gain the
benefits of the program
